Our oats are grown in the organic, rich soils of the Medlock family Farm near Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire. When grown and ready, the oats are toasted on a flat kiln at the historic Montgarrie Mill which is located just 14 miles from the farm. Using the traditional methods the oats are turned with a wooden shovel and cool naturally before the milling process. This whole procedure takes approximately 20 days; a long time compared to the few hours that the process would take in a modern factory but this is what makes these oats extra creamy and delicious.
